Friends, I hate bringing you such bad news on the day after Thanksgiving... but they don't call it Black Friday for nothing! Just kidding... but I had to tell y'all sometime. The simple fact is... Darcy is broken. Yes, my constant companion of nearly two and a half years is currently verrrrry ill. (for those of you who aren't acquainted, Darcy is my camera - a faithful old beast of a Canon Rebel XTi.)
I've tried all the self-diagnosing (cheap!) possibilities, and I think that I have to say... either Darcy has to get miraculously better real fast or he'll be replaced! I really miss being able to record these daily memories, but I know that God will provide!! (sadly, being a college student doesn't help with the money end at all... haha!!)
But I have many reasons to be grateful. Sunshine, my family, being here at a Christian college, the debt that there's only THREE WEEKS left in the semester!! God has been sooooooo good.
How was your Thanksgiving? What are you grateful for?
Hugs!

Eleven Times Six
Did you notice? Today at 11:11 and 11 seconds, you could write the date and time backwards and it would be the exact same as forwards. 11-11-11, 11:11:11. Just one of those weird, super cool things that will never happen again in my lifetime - or yours.
At least... it's not likely. I mean... if you're planning on living until 2111...
Happy (random) Friday, friends!! Hugs!

In the Midst of Her
Wow... it's literally been forever since I've had time to post!! Today, I have nothing *very* profound to say... but I wanted to share this awesome Scripture with you.
Ok, you'll have to keep an open mind on this one, because it bears a little explaining. You're probably very familiar with the opening verses of Psalm 46. (if you're not... get that way - it's a beautiful passage!!) Verse 4 talks about a river, a river that "makes glad the city of God."
Psalms 46:5 goes on to say, "God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early."
Now, I know y'all aren't rivers. =) But this precious promise applies to us, too!! God promises in His Word that He'll never leave us or forsake us. We can rest in the assurance that God us always here for us - even when we're tired or stressed or going through an emotional obstacle course. The Psalmist, David, is just saying it another way. (I kinda like it because it touches my heart as a woman - "God is in the midst of *her*...)
So I just wanted to share a jewel I had discovered recently in my devotions. What has the Lord been teaching you?
Much love,
Hannah
ps... check out this gorgeous sunset. I have the most ammmazzzing view from my dorm!!
